There don’t seem to be any water fountains in Terminal 1 D Gates. The cafes do a good trade in expensive bottled water though. Strange for a newish terminal in a country with a relatively strong green party

Cologne-Bonn now has 3 refill stations after security but I only managed to find one – outside toilets opposite Gate D61 Terminal 2

Can’t believe that Cologne Airport does not have water fountains still!  Filled up in the basin in the ladies in D terminal.

We could not find anywhere at this airport to fill empty bottles so used the taps at the sinks in the ladies toilet.

The Germans seem very green and plastic-free yet at this time Cologne (Koln) airport lacks free water bottle refilling facilities!

How they still haven’t sorted out the water situation in cologne is stupid.

Thy still charge pfand for any bottles you buy despite the fact you cant recycle them here.

 

The cheapest is from whsmith on the 3 for 2 deal and that’s €6.

There is a water refill station opposite gate D61 (through passport control/non-schengen area), below the information screens near the toilets.
