I managed to find a very small and discrete water font next to a pillar near gate D54 just behind the chopfab outlet. It’s hard to spot and I walked past it twice before asking for help and being shown precisely where it is. The bowl is shallow so it’s hard to get the angle on a long bottle as the water pressure isn’t great. I detest the plastic waste but the cost is what gets to me. The shops sell bottles at 4CHF for 500ml. We have 3 thirsty kids so will need to spend at least 20CHF (£16) just to stay hydrated in the departure lounge.

Remember, behind pillar near D54.

I was not able to find gate neither gate A60 nor A70. However, there is a water fountain located at gate A72.

7 August 2020: All the water fountains in boarding gate area D are out of service and covered in plastic due to COVID-19. Staff in Pret (the only open cafe in the area) apparently have been instructed not to fill passengers water bottles, I was told that the water from the taps in the toilets is safe to drink though by a Pret employee.

Fountains in terminal E do not look clean. Better option is to ask at Starbucks. They are happy to refill.

Thank you so much for this info…its very inconvenient in Europe that they still sell water in bottles like that and force tourist to buy plastic bottles for water even though there is no water shortage….but anyways i totally give you a bow for doing this 🙂

There’s a water fountain next to A64 gate in terminal 1. The water fountains in this airport are quite small so take a close look! Cheers

The information map shows locations but there is no key. It’s a tap/faucet.
There is one behind the Rolex shop on the way to the exit.
