No water fountain as far as I can tell. However, Costa Coffee in Departures B were very happy to fill up our reusable water bottles.
A water fountain has arrived! Though not convinced it’s permanent…
Straight after security there is a water cooler (cleverly after the €1 water bottle machine) and another 50m later. They don’t have any signage or similar so I’m not convinced they are permanent.

Just checked out Costa coffee in departures at Faro airport and they were more than happy to fill my water bottle and explained it was filtered water too. Obrigada!
Excellent advice, just did the same. They offer chilled and tap, and were delighted to fill two bottles for me.
Soho Coffee in Faro departure area (after security!) filled my bottles happily

I asked at the Costa mentioned by others, who directed me to the WC/toilets to their left, which they said was the same water. Fine by me!
#plasticfree @AeroportoFaro #aeroportofaroOn the advice from this thread, just had 2 water bottles filled up at Costa, without any issues.
Faro airport does need to get with the times though, and install a water fountain.
#plasticfree @AeroportoFaro #aeroportofaroSadly no water to fill your own bottle. Great website idea, I hate being ripped of by the cost of buying water but worse than this is all the terrible problems the world is making for items with throwing away plastic. I am glad people are now becoming aware of what is happening. Portugal need to do something about offering water instead of ripping us of like this.
Just to add that although busy when I visited costa were helpful in filling 2 bottles for me.
It may be of interest to know that my family have drank tap water in the East Algarve for the past few years and had no problems.
Thanks for this website, it’s been really useful.
(thank you, Clive)

Costa at Faro airport are a dream! Not only happy to fill my bottle, asked if I wanted ice and called me miss!

Faro Airport doesn’t currently have water bottle filling facilities. Costa will fill up your water bottle for you but be aware it tastes of strong chlorine.
This website is a great idea!

Asked at Costa yesterday, but said they couldn’t fill my water bottles. No explanation.
#plasticfreeWater in toilets have single spout. Didn’t seem hot when I tested it so filled my bottle with it. Will update this if I get any stomach problems.
Thanks for this website by the way. I’ve had the idea for years to do it myself but it seems like you got there before me. 👍🏻
Wished I’d seen this website before I went to Portfolio who looked at me like I was mad when I asked if they’d fill a water bottle! Bought a small bottle of water for €2.15 out of embarrassment!
#plasticfree @AeroportoFaro #aeroportofaroIt is still there, but the water pressure means it us woefully slow! We ended up in the toilets.
#plasticfree #BeatPlasticPollution @AeroportoFaro #aeroportofaroThe two bottle refill stations just after security at Faro (on the left) appear to be permanent now. Both working today.
#plasticfree #BeatPlasticPollution @AeroportoFaro #aeroportofaroFrom Judy Williams,
I wanted to find out whether Faro airport has drinking water available but I can’t find a list of airports on your website. Please could you advise how to access it? Thank you
Is there drinking water in departures at Faro airport, Can anyone help ?
June 2018 Faro Airport
There is an automatic water bottle dispensing cabinet just after the security area. The cost is 1 euro per bottle
Thank you for this information, our aim is to show where your own water bottle can be filled to save money and help stop plastic waste.
